What is Sweetpaper ?
- Sweetpaper cards and envelopes are made from sugar
cane bagasse.
- Sugar cane bagasse is a waste product of the sugar
refining industry. It is the fibrous material remaining in the sugar cane
after the sugar has been removed. By using this product as paper pulp, this is
actually putting something that would be dumped into our landfills to good
use!
- It takes one ton of refined sugar to make two tons of
bagasse waste!
- Sugar cane grows wild very quickly and is widely
cultivated!
- Bagasse requires less energy and bleaching chemical
requirements to make into paper!
- Sweetpaper is processed Elemental Chlorine Free and releases no harmful
dioxin into the environment!
